Tree Removal

Sometimes removing a tree is the best option. The tree may be diseased or decayed, grown too big for the space it inhabits, or perhaps removing it will promote the health of other trees/shrubs.

We can fell a tree as a single unit if there is sufficient space and the risk is minimal.

We can also dismantle a tree in sections to reduce the risk of damaging buildings, hard standings and utilities.

Tree Pruning

There's a few reasons we prune trees; safety,  the health of the tree and often to improve the aesthetics of a tree to name a few. Some pruning services we provide are:

  • Crown reductions

  • Crown raises

  • Crown thinning

  • Pollarding

  • Target pruning

  • Removing dead wood / hazardous branches

  • Telephone line clearance

  • Pruning back to boundary lines

Logs & woodchip

Prior to undertaking any work we discuss what will happen to the timber and branches. Good timber which will burn well can be cross cut ready for splitting or we can arrange for it to be taken away.

We can either remove branches/brash or chip on site which can often be the most efficient method and the woodchip can then be used as a mulch on garden beds and pathways.

Occasionally we have logs/woodchip to dispose of which we advertise on our social media pages.

Emergency tree work

If you are in the unfortunate situation of needing emergency tree removal then we can help. If a tree has fallen on your land or property we are here to help deal with the aftermath.

We can also assist with any hazardous trees that pose a threat, such as storm damaged branches.
